Embroidery Within the Texture
Ra’Kaan · IMDart
My experimental works integrate embroidery into a thick textured paste, creating a combination of softness and strength. This experiment reflects a search for balance between delicacy and hardness, where soft elements such as embroidery become even more resilient after being incorporated into the paste.

An enormous strength lives in shoots. They are delicate but incredibly strong. A little warmth from the sun is enough for them to grow and thrive. When spring reaches the heart after a long, cold winter, it can fill everything with life.
This painting comes with a handmade ceramic stand, allowing the work to lean elegantly against a wall. The bases are removable, offering the flexibility to hang the painting on the wall or place it on the ceramic bases as desired.

The vivid colours of the canvas bring vitality to a contemporary space, where every line and colour reflect the dynamism of the metropolis and the renewal of spring. The flowers embroidered over a background of abstract brushstrokes recall that nature and culture are eternally intertwined in the dance of urban life.
This corner is the ideal place for inspiration, rest and dreams, a place where art and design combine harmoniously, creating an atmosphere of comfort and aesthetic delight.

After a long winter, the first flowers appear; they seem fragile, but in reality they are strong. They alone can survive the cold winter nights and not die without the sun.

The Golden Sun Lives Here

This work of art is a celebration of life under the sun of Marbella, a city that is itself an earthly paradise. It captures the essence of summer and joy with a palette of vivid colours and metallic tones that evoke the radiant light and vibrant atmosphere of the Costa del Sol.
Lina Yakobi’s innovative technique of “embroidery within the texture” gives a unique dynamism to flowers that seem to bloom directly from the canvas, representing the lush flora that thrives in Marbella’s ideal climate. The rough, granular texture contrasts with the metallic sheen and meticulous embroidery, symbolising how natural beauty and the human hand come together in this place of happiness and light.
This work is not only a visual representation, but a sensory experience that invites you to feel the warmth of the sun and the sea breeze, reflecting the quality of life that makes Marbella a dreamlike place.
