Visible reality and hidden reality
Two images coexist in one work: one is seen in daylight, while the other appears in darkness or under ultraviolet light.

I am Lina Yakobi, the author of a patented artistic method that reveals the duality of the world through a single artwork. In full light the painting shows one image; when the lighting conditions change, a completely different image appears.
The method arose from my need to show that reality is not one-sided and that it contains both visible and hidden levels. We often see only the surface, while other meanings remain present and reveal themselves only under particular conditions.
Light and darkness also act as metaphors for the manifest and the hidden, the material and the spiritual. The viewer does not encounter a simple visual effect, but the question: ‘What is hidden behind what we see?’
The method explores not only visible reality, but also our ability to imagine, create and perceive what lies beyond ordinary experience. Through my art I seek to show that we are often in dialogue with what we cannot see directly, yet remains present in our lives.
Método Yakobi is not only a technique. It is the philosophy of my art: an artwork can be as complex, changing and layered as life itself.

Transformation

Like a grain of sand becoming a pearl and a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, the work speaks about transforming pain into something light, beautiful and enduring.
Each person chooses what to do with the pain received throughout life. We may remain only consumers, or transform what we have lived through into something that creates beauty. Difficulties are temporary; beauty can endure. We always retain the freedom to choose our path.
Cycle of Life

The swirling leaves recall the ceaseless cycle of time. When the light is turned off, an hourglass appears.
The leaves symbolize the days of life and the hourglass marks their passage. Days follow one another like pages of a calendar, while a form of eternity remains within every moment.
I Am the Centre of My Universe

I look at the world and the world looks back at me. The inner centre is the anchor that leads towards harmony.
This is my manifestation in the three-dimensional world and my perspective on it. I am the paths that lead towards me, the universe and the observing eye; I am a point in the cosmos, everything and nothing at once.
The Creator’s Light

The sage and the book speak of inner knowledge. Under UV light, the circle behind the figure lights up and the book becomes a source of light.
The work expresses that knowledge and wisdom also arise within us, and that truth can be illuminated by a light beyond the visible surface.
The Matter of the Universe

The path and threads crossing the work form the visible and invisible fabric of the universe.
The yogi at the centre represents unity with the universe. The mandala and luminous chakras express the possibility of perceiving the divine and connecting with eternity through the inner path. The work joins the outer and inner worlds, light and darkness.

Wings of Luminous Silence

Tree rings mark time and human life advances through cycles. Every grain of sand and every star participates in a shared order: the continuous movement of existence.
