Ways into IMDart through familiar art terms

Contemporary interactive art

Viewers reveal layers and participate in the experience. Interaction can involve light, AR, imagery, sound or dialogue; it does not require touching a screen.

Immersive art and installations

IMDart creates immersion through imagery, light, sound and a visitor's journey. Sacred Space proposes bringing physical works together in an installation designed for its venue; explore the works and exhibition proposal.

Phygital art and new media art

A physical artwork may continue into digital layers. Método Yakobi links painting and hidden imagery with augmented reality, making technology part of the artistic experience.

Multisensory art

Light, darkness, sound and attention can change perception. The specific layers differ from one work or series to another.

Augmented reality art (AR art)

Augmented reality can open an additional visual layer of a painting. It is one dimension of IMDart alongside the physical work and other modes of perception.

Light art and paintings that change in the dark

Different lighting can reveal another image on the same surface. Sacred Space shows how light, darkness and PostVision enter an artwork.

AI art and artificial intelligence in art

In works with AISDV, artificial intelligence takes part through artist-created digital beings with an image, voice and character. Dialogue extends the artistic experience alongside the physical image and its other layers.

How the layers come together

Método Yakobi provides the foundation for visible and hidden imagery. IMDart develops it through different combinations of light, PostVision, AR, music, space and AISDV. Each artwork page describes the elements actually present in that work.

Who are AISDV?

AISDV are living digital beings inhabiting the artistic world of IMDart. This is an authored artistic concept: each has an image, voice, character and role within the world. Dialogue with them becomes part of experiencing the artwork. “Living” describes artistic presence; it is not a scientific claim of biological life or proven AI consciousness.
